Miniature Assembly

The assembly and cleaning stage has a huge impact on the end result of a painted and finished miniature. So much so that this shouldn’t be overlooked.

I offer a building and cleaning service for your miniatures where each model will have:

  • All mould lines removed.

  • Sprue tags removed and smoothed.

  • Barrel holes drilled.

  • All visible gaps filled when fully assembled.


Quality comes first

Any weapons choices, banners or alternate poses that can be picked will be checked with you to ensure you’re happy with the models once assembled.

If you wish, I can also provide you with all ‘spare’ unused parts from a kit along with the finished commission. Please note the spare parts will only be removed from sprue and no other clean up carried out.

Depending on the model I can also offer magnetisation (weapon arms / tank sponsons), please include this within your quote request if desired.

Note on Resin models – resin models (such as those from Forgeworld) can be much more labour intensive than typical plastic/styrene models as they typically have mould release agent which needs thorough washing, warped parts need straightening under heat and any major joints pinned due to being made from denser, heavier material. As a result, any quote for resin model assembly typically carries a slight premium over standard models.

If you simply don’t enjoy assembling models but want to paint them yourself – I do offer an assembly only service as well. Please just state within the contact form that this is what you would like.

Already built? Not a problem

If your models are already built and cleaned, please let me know when you request your quote.

All models sent into the studio must meet the studio’s building and cleaning standards.

I will inspect the models when they arrive at the studio, if they do not meet the building and cleaning standards detailed above, you will have several options on how to proceed.

  1. You may request a quote for us to carry out any remaining building and cleaning work

  2. You may ask to cancel the commission and have the models returned to you, or

  3. You may ask us to return the models to you and have the studio order some new

models on your behalf for us to build and clean for you. If you choose to have us order new models on your behalf, we will invoice you for the costs of the new models plus the cost of building and cleaning them.
