This level of basing is simple but effective. Barren earth in colours of your choosing – Desert, earth, ash etc. with grass tufts or rubble to compliment the biome or theme you’ve chosen for your army.

Sometimes you just want something ‘more’ than the usual tabletop look.

If you want paved ruins, jungle undergrowth and debris, rocky outcrops along with environmental effects like snow or water, this is the basing to go for.

At this level bases have as much detail applied to them as you wish.

Layering, washes, dry brushing, snow and water effects, 3D printed plants, 3D printed rubble and weathering powders will all be used to best effect.

3D printed bases from my store or 3rd party custom bases can really give your army a unique identity.
